Hi, I’m Erika Valdes, a pediatric OT and former teacher.
I help kids of all abilities—including autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, sensory differences, EBD + developmental delays, master daily skills, feel confident, and thrive. My secret? Play-based, real-life therapy that works at home, school + everywhere in between.
I love blending evidence-based therapy with soulful, sensory practices that help kids feel grounded, empowered, and alive.

Frecuently asked questions
How does occupational therapy with Play2Learn work?
Sessions are 1:1 and tailored to your child’s needs whether at home, in the community, or virtually. We focus on milestones, sensory needs, and functional skills so your child can gain confidence and independence.
Do you accept insurance?
Play2Learn Miami currently operates as an out-of-network provider. Superbills can be provided upon request for possible reimbursement from your insurance plan. Payment is due at the time of service.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Cancellations + Rescheduling:
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full session fee. Exceptions may be made for illness or emergencies communicated promptly.
How often should my child have sessions?
Every child is different, but most families see the best results with 1–3 sessions per week for at least 10 weeks.

Good faith estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to give clients who don’t have insurance or aren’t using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for services. This is called a Good Faith Estimate (GFE).
Your Rights
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost.
You’ll receive a written Good Faith Estimate before your first scheduled session.
The estimate will include the total expected cost of all planned services (evaluations, therapy sessions, sensory plans, etc.).
If you receive a bill that’s $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your estimate for your records.
