Parent Coaching in Miami, Florida and nearby areas

Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but that doesn’t mean you have to figure it all out alone. At Play2Learn Miami, Erika offers compassionate, evidence-based parent coaching to help you understand your child’s needs, navigate tough moments with confidence, and build a stronger connection at home. Whether you’re dealing with tantrums, transitions, or just feeling stuck, she’s here to support your parenting journey in a judgment-free space.

What is parent coaching?

Parent coaching is a collaborative process that helps you, as a caregiver, understand your child’s behavior, emotional needs, and developmental stage. Erika offers tools and strategies tailored to your family’s unique situation, with a focus on emotional regulation, connection, and realistic expectations. This isn’t about “fixing” your child, it's about building skills and systems that make daily life smoother and more joyful for everyone involved.

Common reasons parents seek coaching

  • Feeling overwhelmed or unsure how to handle challenging behaviors
  • Wanting to respond with more calm and less yelling
  • Supporting a child with sensory or emotional needs
  • Navigating transitions like new schools, siblings, or routines
  • Managing screen time, sleep, or mealtime battles
  • Wanting to break generational cycles or parent differently than you were raised

How do I know if parent coaching is right for me?

Parent coaching might be a great fit if:

  • You feel like you’ve tried “everything” and nothing is working
  • You’re navigating neurodiversity, trauma, or high sensitivity at home
  • You want to support your child without punishments or fear-based strategies
  • You value connection and communication, but need help implementing tools
  • You’re curious about gentle parenting, co-regulation, or mindful discipline

You don’t need to be in crisis to ask for support. Parenting is hard, and it’s okay to get help.

FAQ

What age group is parent coaching best for?

Parent coaching can benefit caregivers of toddlers through teens. The focus is on you as the parent building tools to support your child at any stage.

How is parent coaching different from therapy?

Therapy typically focuses on healing past trauma or emotional struggles. Coaching is more action-oriented focused on tools, strategies, and current parenting challenges.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals, many parents begin to notice positive shifts after 3 to 6 sessions, but every child and family is different. Because of that, I can’t predict exactly how many sessions you’ll need. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your needs, moves at your pace, and adapts as your family grows.

Can both parents or caregivers join the sessions?

Absolutely. I encourage all primary caregivers to be involved when possible to create consistency and alignment.

What should I consider before starting parent coaching?

Parent coaching works best when you’re open to reflection and curious about trying new tools. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just a willingness to explore what’s working, what’s not, and where you’d like to grow. This process is not about judgment; it’s about discovering practical ways to bring more calm, connection, and clarity to your parenting.
